WIPL and ~168 midwest organizations sent a letter to President Obama thanking him for the Climate Action Plan he laid out in June. . The letter emphasized the importance of the President’s directive to the EPA to develop carbon pollution standards for existing power plants. “We look forward to working with you, EPA, and Midwestern electric utilities to meet this challenge,” the signatories wrote to the President.

RTA Coalition Letter

On April 29, 2009, a letter originating from WISPIRG Advocate, Bruce Speight, was endorsed by a diverse coalition of business, labor, municipal, environmental, religious, and public interest organizations which came together to urge the legislature, and members of the Joint Finance Committee, to support the RTA proposal in A.B. 75.
